Recently I have been stepping up my self-care with an awesome new addition: taking bubble baths!! So I thought I would share my self-care routine: relaxing bath edition!
Our new house has this amazing garden tub in it. And I was so excited about it when we moved it because I love it when there is a dedicated bathtub. When it is separate from the shower because I feel like it’s so much easier to keep it clean!
I had been meaning to get around to taking a relaxing bubble bath in here ever since we moved in a year and a half ago but never got around to it! You see, I’m not really someone who takes the time to take a bath! It’s not that I don’t like them, I just never make the time for it.
Is anyone else SO excited that spring has finally sprung? I tend to really love the transitional, more temperate seasons of fall and spring but winter is usually just a tad too cold and long for me! And I love summer, but not the part of it where it gets super humid here in Texas! Anyways, one of my favorite times of year is when all the trees start to blossom. Such a beautiful way to transition from winter to spring. I recently made a few changes to our Master. So without further ado, I present our Woodland Fairy Cottage inspired Master Bedroom refresh for spring!

Do you guys dream of perfectly organized linen closets like I do?? And search Pinterest for ideas of ways to make them super organized and efficient? Simple and pretty linen closet organization or any organized closet for that matter are some of my fave things! I LOVE seeing things neat and tidy! Ooh, it’s the best feeling ever. I know not everyone gets this obsession with things being in order. But those of you who are the same way totally know what I mean! 🙂
Hi friends! Today I wanted to share my Pretty Valentine’s Day Cocoa Station & Coffee Bar!
The weather is quickly getting warmer over here in Texas, and spring is right around the corner. But spring is quite rainy and gloomy here which is still the perfect weather for a yummy mug of hot cocoa!
I’ve done a lot of thinking about what my goals and intentions for 2019 are. I have had some pretty cool results from doing these lists of my goals and intentions for each year so far. I’ve done them since this post in 2016 so this is the fourth year I am actually sitting down and compiling a list of things I want to focus on. It’s really kinda weird how the simple act of writing things makes it easier to achieve your goals. Part of it, I think, is that it forces you to actually decide what you want to do. Instead of just thinking lofty thoughts about what you might do. I also think just seeing things in front of your face, whether it is words you write down or a vision board you look at every day, makes abstract concepts and thoughts easier to think about in real life terms.
I have really enjoyed doing these posts for the last few years. First I share the list of my goals for the year, and then I check in with how things went at the end of the year. It is truly crazy how fast time goes by, and if you don’t set specific intentions and goals for each year, it is so easy to just let your whole life go by on auto-pilot. Kind of just letting life happen to you instead of making it what you want. Basically, it’s the difference between being proactive or reactive. It has been super helpful to me to have a rough game plan for what I want to tackle each year!
Looking back at 2018, all I can say is that it was QUITE the year.
I’ll try to kind of recap in a somewhat brief way, all the biggest things that happened to us, and the things I have been thinking about and learning. Continue reading →
The year 2018 was a year I will always remember as drastically changing my life. It was the year that I became aware of the shelter animal crisis in the US and just how many animals are put to death each year. I am forever changed because of it and I wanted to share my story of why I am so passionate about animal rescue.
Last March, I had an experience that would shape a lot of my thoughts and priorities going forward in life. It was life-changing in the truest sense of the word. Continue reading →
After living here for over a year and a half, it is finally time to share with you guys my first ‘mostly complete’ room reveal in our new home! Except for a few little details, I am finally feeling like this Sun Room is done! It is the most complete room so far in the house and I am loving hanging out in here since it is super pretty and cozy! My style, in general, is a blend of cozy, French, romantic and whimsical so that is the vibe I was going for in here, and I also wanted it to feel very light and airy too. So without further delay, welcome to our Cozy Cottage & French Inspired Sunroom! 🙂
Since becoming more aware of the toxic ingredients found in a lot of conventional beauty products about 4-5 years ago, I have been trying a ton of different natural and non-toxic makeup and skincare! Of course, reviews have been super helpful in finding the best things to try, but one thing I have learned for sure is that everyone is different and their skincare and haircare needs are going to vary a lot from each other. So finding the things that have worked great for my particular needs has been kind of a long journey! My skin type is combination, very sensitive and extremely acne-prone with a lot of post-acne scarring to heal. When it comes to foundation, I prefer a matte finish. My hair type is somewhat fine, naturally wavy and frizzes very easily, especially in the humidity!
Hey guys! Today I am sharing my updated home tour. It’s been about a year and a half since we moved in and things are definitely starting to come together and feel a lot cozier these days!
